Our Committee

The Network began life as an idea in July 2025: a small group of women who wanted to bring Irish women in Wales together to get to know one another. Word spread quickly. By the time we officially launched at the Irish Consulate in Cardiff Bay on St Brigid's Day 2026, dozens of women had already signed up — and the number has kept growing since.

The Network has been supported from the very beginning by the Irish Consulate in Wales, whose encouragement and guidance helped the idea take shape into a proper organisation with a committee, a constitution, and a plan for the years ahead.

The Irish Women's Network Wales is led by a group of dedicated volunteers who give their time and energy to keep the community strong, connected and welcoming for all.

In true Irish spirit, we believe in sharing the load. Rather than placing too much on any one pair of shoulders, responsibilities across the committee are shared out. It keeps things manageable, encourages everyone to have a say, and reflects the kind of support and togetherness we're all about.
